Couldn't hack it anymore. It's been 55 hours since power went out. No generator and can't sleep another night in a 90 degree apartment. I let the office know about the water damage we had and then rolled out.
Last I heard only 6% of Jefferson Parish had been restored. Many people are expected to be without power through Sunday, worst case - some until next Thursday.

I was at my apt n the dark and the power came on twice and went off. Hopefully it will stay on soon!

Got a message from entergy saying they restored power in the creeks only to drive from the westbank and still no power.

I'm a contractor for 1st Lake and was told the power is on at Sawmill and other creeks... Not Sure about Palmetto or Clearwater... Riverwood was running yesterday ... I HAVE NOT gotten to the creeks yet, So I can only verify Hickory and Sawmill at the moment...

Indeed, power is back at Sawmill. I don't have cable either, but have a digital antenna that is working fine (RCA $10 at Walmart).
Game tonight will be on ESPNU. Plenty of bars will be showing it.
