they had power late last night in edgard. not sure about now, couldnt get an answer this morning.

news said they shut down water to keep it from being contaminated.

I'm from LaPlace, and my mom lives there. I have a brother in Montz. My mom went to Ponchatoula to stay with my sister, though.
I don't expect it to be bad there, but was just curious if anyone was around and could see what was going on.

Just got word my house in Laplace in Riverlands subdivision is about to flood. It's a good 2 feet above the street, so lots of water in that area right now.

Bad flooding (rescues being made) in River Forrest and down Old 51, but I think Montz is still ok.

Meat said people were getting out of Cambridge and my aunt just said River Forest is doing the same because the lake is backing up and starting to flood.

My brother lives off 51. Water hasn't made it to him as of a few hours ago but people on FB are freaking me out. River Forrest is all under water.

How is off old 51 right now? Have relatives along that stretch before it crosses airline. Other relatives can't reach them by phone right now.

51 is under water. Saw a pic from the surburban hotel and water is up to truck windshields in the parking lot.
