On phone and can't fully respond. My complaint isn't
with workers on the ground. However there is plenty to
say about preparation, staging and allocation of
resources. E.g. do some research as to negotiations with
outside contractors and how they were handled.

The public pronouncements by Charles Rice and others have gone from annoyingly glib to downright insipid. frick him.

Anyone who views Billy Nungesser ("Pinky)" as anything other than a dumb, fat sleazeball basking in the
reelected glory of his equally sleazeball, but smart, dad is kidding themselves.

And the postal service gets a bad rap.

After all the facts are revealed, I believe that Entergy is going to look bad.

What do you suspect them of doing?

IMO, they haven't been as forthcoming with useful information as they could be and they were behind the curve on prep, staging and allocation of resources.

So why didn't you call them out beforehand?

For you to know that they were behind all these things, you must have known this was going to happen....right?

Or are you just mad you are one of the random people who's power is still out?

You mean one of the 330,000 people without power?

Not exactly random.

bunch of folks all up in this thread with low expectations.

Entergy has been reaping the rewards of having a monopoly. New Orleans customers imparticular have been getting raped.

BY any standard this response is pitiful. I would love to see Entergy have to be competitive.

Honestly I hear people talk about Honore all the time but what exactly did he do? I know he put himself in the media a lot. Our LA guardsman were already doing their job and continued to do it well during Katrina. I won't tell you Blanco inspired confidence as a leader during Katrina but that had little impact on the LA National Guard's response. A lot of what we heard about stories at the convention center, etc. turned out to be false. Our LA Guard did their job well and continue to do it well in emergency response.. I am unsure of how Honore contributed to that except for continuously going on TV, radio. This is not a knock on his active military career.

Honore' organized what had been a clusterfrick and gave people reason to believe. He deserves credit. I guarantee you he kicked some arse when he hit the ground and he made a difference. Firsthand, brah.
