Seems like TD always drags big time on my laptops. Just got a brand new one, minimal trial virus protection is all I'm using at the moment, but it seems like even on this new machine it takes forever to load pages and the ads seem to be the culprit.

Anybody have any tips on why this would be the case? Just about every other page I view pops right up with very little drag. Using home wifi with good signal. TIA.

I thought it might be just me and my old arse laptop. Glad to know its not.

Seems like the banner ads are the issue (scripts, etc). Funny because it doesn't seem to be that bad on other sites I visit that have more complicated banners.

Internet explorer on old machine, now Edge that comes with Windows 10. No chrome or Firefox. I'm gonna run the stock Microsoft stuff for a while and give them a chance.

Edge is slow. Many complaints on the web about it. I hope they fix but for now I use chrome on windows 10 and its night and day.

Chrome echoed. I.E. on previous and Edge on current machine couldn't handle the site.
