PoliBoard is nuts. We need mods.

Seems like a ton of alters/spamming accounts being created lately.

The mod on that board may need a pay raise.

I propose a "probationary" period for starting threads - we have these spam accounts/alters starting dozens of nonsensical threads, linking to off the wall sources and it's really noticeable the past 2 or 3 weeks. Many of them are "Joined March 2017" - if their "Start New Topic" button was ghosted out for 90 days or so, I think the problem would go away.

What exactly is the issue? You have usernames?

Frosin4e

There were a couple others, but mods look to have cleaned it up.

ETA; essentially brand new user names starting topics with no substance except a blind link to a sketchy site

Shareblue is a pretty important group that is worth knowing for people that don't.

Maybe it would help the politics board / moderator team to break it apart into two boards (or have a subboard) for a current news and historical/political. Current news pollutes the depth of conversation that could be had.

How about require links rather than posters starting threads for every thought/snark/point they have?

The usernames are random, the problem is they keep coming back and posting the same spam: a blind link to readmeeveryday.com or interestingdailynews.com or some other pop-up infested site that constantly re-writes and re-circulates old news with today's date (I think one thread this week referred to "yesterday's" state of the union and another referenced the 2014 Vaughan Foods murder as something that just happened).

They rarely stick around to reply and if they do it's in broken English.

Perhaps more "mods" is not the answer.

Is Jjdoc a real person? His topic history seems like a straight c/p of clickbait headlines.

Actually, why are you stalking me. I can't post a thread with out you trolling me.

I use to not mind a cyber stalker but you are way over the top.

We may not be on the same political page, but your whining fits to the mods to try and get me banned is totally childish. Why do feel the need to try and silence people who don't agree with you?

To the Mods, I did not see a sticky on the hearings, so I posted what I saw as important moments.

Try having a discussion in an already existing thread instead of just making a new thread for every post about an event you're watching (or seeing posted on Breitbart).

I don't think there is a rule saying "One must not link to Breitbart"

That's not what I said.

What you seem to do is create a thread for every Breitbart update to a story, instead of just continuing in the already existing thread.

Example:

Say there's a congressional hearing going on about trade with Eastasia. A thread is made. Someone in the hearing says something semi-newsworthy. That thing does not need its own thread, even if Breitbart decides to update their story about the hearing to include that thing.

"stalking" when your shite threads are all over the PT. Good one

Nah, I just want to silence your spaming for every quote during a hearing, misrepresenting the contents of an article in your posts and title, posting fake news articles, posting 20 threads of thoughts on the same subject with a supposedly different "gotcha", and bumping your own thread when no one has responded to it.

Sounds like you could have made an official thread and post your many spam threads in there. We told you last time on the help board, you apologized to the admins, and continued to do it.

It's cute you think I'm the only one calling you on this

this thread was started to point out the bot posts-- there were a lot of them. this thread was not started to pick on jj or Josh because you don't like their threads.
