I am trying to update my iMac from tiger to leopard(my system requirements won't allow me to upgrade to snow leopard) and I was wondering if someone on TD would have a used copy they would sell me at a reasonable price. My money situation is tight and I can't afford what they want for this OS upgrade on ebay. Please reply if you can help.

You're trying to pirate software on here? Seriously?

By "system requirements", do you mean that the system requires you to have a copy of Leopard?

No, by system requirments I mean I do not have enough RAM to install snow leopard, but I do have enough for the older OS leopard which is the upgrade from what I currently run

And as far as pirating software I am trying to buy a used version of software. I have no intention of pirating anything.

I was really just giving you a hard time. But, seriously, aren't Operating System software CDs meant for installation on one computer?

I really dont know on the MACS I have never had to do it until now. I know I have borrowed disks from other people to update a PC before. I am not talking about the restoration CD that comes with a computer when you buy it I am talking about a disk you would have to purchase separate to install a completly new OS.
And it may not work but I would love it if someone would let me try to do it with theirs and see if it works. I am sure they hadomaine way of making you register the disk before installing.
But I would love to try before I commit to spending $150 to buy one.

I do have one, but I'm not comfortable letting someone else install my copy of it. Not sure if that's a legitimate concern, but it is a concern that I have. Sorry, bud.
