I noticed it yesterday and today. Why are craft beer threads being anchored?

Cause its not WHAT you say, its HOW you say it.

I dunno why but they enforce the thread title rules on the food board like they do the OT and Rant.

The food board is a completely different board from the 2 above. We very rarely have people trolling, threads never really go off-topic, and the board basically polices itself.

Just a cursory look on the second page of the board leads me to believe it's not the content, it's the thread title.

I agree that enough is conveyed in a thread title like "Rio Mar" (not a beer thread, but one that is anchored) or whichever one just has the 3 word name for a a brewery, that those threads shouldn't be anchored, but apparently that's not the feeling of management.

Green Flash Brewery.

It's a brewery in california. Very good beer.

Would "Green Flash Brewery: Discuss" Be an approved title?

I guess, but I think Green Flash Brewery is sufficient. I think admin wants everything to look like a headline or the beginning of a story.

I agree with Jones, that it's not necessary on the F&D board.

Is it really too difficult to post:

What are your thoughts on Green Flash Brewery in California?

I didn't start the thread, i just noticed about 3 or 4 threads anchored because of this.

If this is the rule, does it apply to food as well and restaurants?

Just want some clarification so i'm not anchored in the future.

"Green Flash Brewery" (just for example) leaves a wide variety of topics to be discussed. Is it a thread glorifying it? Chastising it? Asking for opinions about it? Talking about a recent health score? Or just a general discussion about the restaurant?

I think the admins just want total clarity in the headline. Just my opinion, though.

Is it something you can get twice? If so, then yes.

Yes. I had a two word title on the food board and it was whacked because of that amid a lively discussion. I edited the title and the admin graciously un-anchored it. I know now, for next time, not to do that.

While I agree, you know people would also be bitching if the rules weren't enforced uniformly throughout the boards.

Chicken, you need to pipe down and ease up on the FDB. Food is a necessity yo.
