What's up with these On Cloud shoes?

Someone mentioned them in the what running shoes are you wearing thread, and I must say, I'm intrigued. What's the word?

I think that was me. My wife is on her 2nd pair. She bought them from a website a while back, and loves them. Then she saw some online deal a few months later and snagged another pair. My brother in law has started running and has some as well. I'm pretty partial to Brooks, but when my Ravenna's need replacing I'm probably going to try them out. I need a support shoe, and talking to several others that have them at the gym, they're legit.

i see them in the gym a lot, but not by serious runners.
i'm not negating that they're good shoes, they appear to be. i just don't ever see them on the trails or paths i run very often or at all.
i think they're like salomon, hoka, altra, etc. good (or well above average) shoes, just a bit more niche than asics, brooks, new balance, etc. that you can get at academy.
