Do y'all not swim at the beach? I feel like I'm in the best shape of the year after a week there
I'm on day 5 and have lost 6 lbs. I'm not swole like most of you baws though, just trying to settle down after a couple weeks of eating like crap.

I go dive for sand dollars for a few hours; better workout than my usual running/biking routine I'm sure

Been off and on the wagon the last two days (which was kind of my plan), but strong today.
Gained water weight back up to 181.2. still down 5.3 over the two weeks.

Geez, this category 1 is tough. I'm not any different feeling wise today but knowing I don't have a refeed tomorrow is killing my soul.

Yeah man it wasn't that easy. If you have a normal work schedule during the week like I do, it isn't as bad but I really started feeling it on the weekends where I'm used to eating big cheat meals. Stomach feels slightly empty even after eating but eventually goes away.

How do people not go to an all you can eat buffet after a category 1 is beyond me.

Going to our favorite pizza joint tonight. Can't fricking wait.

I ate some brisket and spare ribs last night and still dropped a lb.
Another hour or two until I eat lunch number 1.

catagory 1 is the toughest by far. I have done all three catagories and being a cat 1 fricking blows. No refeed, no cheat meal and the weight comes off much slower. Just an all around mind frick.
Doing really good this week though, I am down to 182.4. Hopefully I can see the high 170s by the end of next week. and hopefully some damn abs.

I'm through 3 days and down about 4.5 lbs, but only down about a lb of what I was pre this weekend. Im guessing I'll lose between 3-5 lbs by Monday.

I wonder if you just don't know how to properly flex them.

I don't think thats the problem as I can feel them flexed. My skin is pretty thick in that area and I literally hold 90% of my fat on my abs, obliques, lower back and chest. Its the last place I am going to lose.
It is what it is. I think i really need to start doing more weighted exercises to make them larger. Will increase my waist size, but atleast I would have abs.

Started doing this over the past month in a half and I believe I've seen a difference in combination with diet. I do abs 5-6 days a week.

I have not worked out abs in 5+ years. I don't think that's the problem. I do however tighten them all day every day and have done that for 10+ years.

i dunno then. I do crunches, hanging leg raises, planks, dragon flyes, and ghd situps every day pretty much and flex them a lot like you said.
Could just be genetics. LSUweights said he doesnt see his abs until about 3 days before a competition. sucks either way.

It is genetics. Where you carry the fat and how wide your hips are.
ETA: Just try to make the abs as large as you can, I guess.
I hardly ever do ab exercises tbh, but almost everything I do is core.
