Has it helped in the gym? I'm not talking about self prescribed TRT, asking about Test prescribed from a Dr.

Little bit vague. Helped in gains, stamina, strength, what? If your answer is all three then no. TRT just gets you to normal test levels. Might give you a little more energy and will boost your libido. Half of it is psychological.

I've been on HRT for about 2 years and it has helped me a ton. It gives me motivation to get in the gym a few days a week. Sex drive is awesome, I feel like I'm in my 20's again in that regard. I would recommend it to anyone in their late 30's and older that are having issues. If you have a general practitioner check with them first and let them know you want to do HRT.

A year ago I went to the doctor because I wanted to have my T levels checked.

Physicians assistant said they were in normal range, little on lower side. but I could get on T shots of I wanted. I said sure, I'll try it. She assured me it was no biggie

I got one every 2 weeks which is apparently not very often. I was already lifting, but my weight dropped from 200 to low 180's, trap muscles started getting very big, abs stared showing without even doing much ab work, energy and confidence increased greatly, felt like I could do anything. I was holding back on lifts because I didn't want to get too jacked. You really notice gains on TRT.

I read some bad things about being on TRT and decided to stop after 5-6 months, then went through a period of a terrible crash, but got back to normal shortly. I didn't want to be on it forever because I'm only 30 and it's a crutch, especially because your body stops making it with TRT. And it's supposed to be bad for fertility.

It is a huge ordeal to do it right and is a lifetime decision and at a minimum you should be taking a shot once a week.

Was not because of your TRT. TRT only brings levels in to the normal ranges. Sure it helped some but it just made you normal. It doesnt make you jacked. Sorry but that is BS and just spreading false info.

TRT is not a crutch. You get on TRT because your body no longer produces testosterone. And you went about the whole thing in a very stupid fashion, no offense. There is absolutely nothing bad about trt and has been proven to perfectly safe in all studies when used properly. Key is properly and neither you nor your doctor did that. BTW you should never see that doctor again as they are dumb as shite and are asking for a malpractice law suit.

and yes TRT will make you infertile while on or atleast significantly reduce sperm production and other markers. But you can bounce back with a proper post cycle/fertility treatment of HCG/HMG/Clomid Citrate/Tamoxifen Citrate.

OP to answer your question, I am on and will be for the rest of my life as after I did a year of fertility treatment and surgery on my left testicle, my body stopped producing completely.

I'm currently on it as well right now I take a 150mg injection every 2 weeks. This is just the tweaking phase my Dr said. He's trying to find the right dosage to keep my levels normal. I haven't been out on any of the post cycle meds either. I have an appointment next week to do labs and go over how I feel. I'm the second week I crash hard.

Are those meds and a shot once a week the norm, what should I be telling/asking my Dr?

I'm on it. It def helps bc when I'm not taking it I'm pretty lethargic, fatigued, no sex drive, and zero energy. Also I don't have motivation to do anything. I'm only on 125 mg a week and it keeps me totally active and happy.

Will blood work done at a regular checkup give me my testosterone numbers or do I have to ask specifically for it?

Insurance covers it after I meet deductible but it's about 100 before that.

Way cheaper than my fertility treatment was. Hell had to get that from compound pharmacy and was still around 800/month, would have been much cheaper on the black market.

159 every 2 weeks is really low, should be double that and no offense but your doctor doesn't let understand half life's if he has you on eow shots.

Exactly, I'm on 140mg a week and that puts me in the 600-700 on my blood test which is middle range for 35 year old. Keeps my sex drive humming, energy up etc. essentially makes me feel like I did when I was 27-28.

I currently take 220mg/week split dosage Monday and Thursday along with .25 estrogen blocker on Monday and Thursday as well. From spring of 2016 to spring of 2017 my test dropped over 100pts and I could tell so that led me to HRT. I started around 400 and have increased to 650ish in the last 3 months. I'm only 31, my dr thinks looking at blood work that I've prolly had low testosterone my whole life.

Yeah I think I need to get to my Dr to look at these numbers again and figure it out. Crashing after a week isn't fun.
Mid cycle my counts are
345ng/dl
43.9 free

Anyone on it have anger issues? At one point I was taking way too much and then I found out my doc was quack. I would lose my temper quick and say and do shite I've never done or said. Now that I'm on a low dose and back to normal levels, everything seems fine again.
