Anyone have experience using elevation training masks to build endurance? How do you like them?

Well I wouldn't be going out in public with them so it's not like I'm getting it to look hardcore. I am thinking about getting it for the purpose of building endurance for soccer/running because I need to strengthen lungs.

I have a home gym so I would be wearing it there while I lift and do cardio.

Not gonna hunt for a link, but I swear I read an actual study (vs an article) that said they don't work nearly to the extent they claim.

they don't build blood levels like true elevation training will but it does help strengthen your lungs and does build work capacity pretty quickly.

It doesn't help. It can also train you to breath improperly or not in the way your body is suppose to. Def doesn't allow for good pelvic breathing.

Some older guy walks around our neighborhood and it freaks all the kids out, he's a local legend at our elementary school. Somebody started a FB page for him as a joke but it was taken down after a couple of days.

Ole dude looks like Hannibal Lecter, thank god I've only seen him once. It's nightmare worthy.

It's a total crock and can lead to improper and inefficient breathing techniques. Training at elevation is the only way to achieve what they say the mask does bc the pressure is what is really providing the benefit. Even then, the beneficial effects only last around 2 weeks I think.

Here is what it'll do for you. I own one.

It forces you to concentrate on steady breathing during workouts, which a lot of people don't do.
