Breakfast bar/protein bar recipes?

Since store bought are loaded with sugar and fake crap, and the healthier ones are stupid expensive, I'm looking to start making some on my own. Which recipes have you tried and recommend?

Calories aren't a huge concern of mine, I just try to stay lower on the sugar side

Not really an option if you want to cut sugar. Dry fruit has a high amount of sugar.

I don't need fruit in the bars. However, I'm not saying they have to be no carbs. Just not the 20+g like the bars you find in stores

I think you have to be careful with these. I've seen some quality commentary on the Amazon forums. Check this one out LINK Basically, people seem to be saying that the net count is BS because the fiber is BS. I can't find it now, but I read a detailed analysis from a diabetic who did real-time testing of glucose/insulin after ingesting these and they said there seemed to be zero impact from the supposed fiber. IOW - these things have a lot of carbs.
