Just eat a semi-healthy diet and you'll get all the vitamins and minerals your body needs. Multivitamins are just expensive tablets that make your urine bright yellow. The only fat soluble vitamins are A, D, E, and K. The rest are water soluble and you just pee the excess out (hence the urine).

I'm not going to mention any generic store brand because I'm assuming you're looking for something a tad more.

I've used Opti-Men for years.

Inb4 multi's are useless

Optimum Nutrition has the only one really worth a damn from what I remember. With that said, if your diet isn't in check, you're just throwing money down the drain buying a multi vitamin.

I figured the vitamin would help me supplement the things I am low on in my diet... am I wrong in thinking this?

It'll help I suppose but if you don't plan on fixing the rest of it, again there's no point. Like, perhaps 1-3% max?

Most of you aren't going to like this, but you need to get a vitamin/micronutrient test every two years. Otherwise, you're just throwing shite at the wall and money down the drain.

Then, supplement with what you need and avoid anything you are heavy in.

Personally, I was low in Biotin and Copper, and like most males, in no need of iron.

Also, a few long term studies have shown a higher death risk and heart disease risk with certain vitamin supplements, like a certain form of E specifically.
