Give me the 3 hardest public courses you've played.

Black Bear - tips and down it can be a tough tract even for very skilled golfers.

Even with the bunker problems (you get a free drop out) it is still demanding from the tips.

Atchafalya
Frenchman's Bend
Carter Plantation/TPC of La

Tipped out of course, Atchafalaya #1 by a large margin.

I remember it being hard with lots of water I didn't wanna limit it to south of i10 courses, Atchafalaya tipped out is easy #1 and I've been told the same about Black Bear but have never played it.

The par 3s at Atchafalaya are a bear especially from the tips

ETA: Atchafalaya
Bluffs
TPC
Those are the hardest that I have played.

Oak Harbor from the tips with wind is no joke.

Assuming we're tipping it out here and of courses I've played:

TPC
Bluffs
Gray Plantation

Agree. oak harbor is a beast from the tips.

Of the courses I've played, I'd put oak harbor and atchafalaya as 1a and 1b.

Bluffs, TPC are the next two on my list.

Tipped out La Tour would have been in this conversation before they cut back the native and then closed. RIP.

Carter is tough to go low on. Not a lot of birdie holes and unless you are throwing darts, there aren't a lot of makeable putts.

Played these courses in mid am championships.
Bluffs
English Turn
Gray Plantation
They were all tough from tips.

Played the Atchafalaya from the tips front nine, it was a beast. Moved up one tee on back. Kosati Pines is in the 7600 yds range, pretty long. Hit a lot of long irons and rescues.
