I heard holes 2 and 3 at the Bluffs were damaged by the recent storms and are closed/unplayable. Any word on when they may be back playable? I was planning a round there late next week but may look elsewhere.

I heard 2 weeks from the flood. So they may be back open by the time you want to play. They didn’t have any runoff damage like the 2016 flood. Just debris and such.

I played it yesterday and didn’t know about holes 2 and 3. Hole 2 was essentially a 260 yard par 4 with a temp green. Hole 3 had a temp tee box shortening the hole 100 yards or so.

I took a look at the closed area and it looks completely fricked. I don’t know anything about landscaping but I imagine it will take several months to fix.

They're not going to fix the fairway that has been twice overrun by Thompson Creek. They will make no. 2 a par 4 and 3 will either be a drivable 4 or a very long 4.

Not great. Losing money and don't have a large enough staff/resources to keep greens up to par.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, however wrong it may be. Personally, I love it.

it is a wonderful layout, especially considering it is in south LA. I thought i would get tired of playing the same course when i joined in 1998 but never have.

I need to go play it again when I am not hilariously hung over. I think I shot 108 last time I was there.

It’s not an easy course. Tough to maintain. I need to make a trip there also. Haven’t been in about 15 years.

Checking back on this thread. I assume these holes have been repaired by now.

From those who have played recently, how is Course condition overall at this time?

2 still has temp green in fairway. New green is built and looks like it’s grassed. Should play as a 400yd par four, just guessing at yardage.

3 is fully playable. You can see where they lost some ground between Tee and fairway but doesn’t effect hole.

They still have trouble with some bad spots on greens, but less than I remember from years ago. Haven’t played it in years so I can’t compare with recent conditions. Tees, fairways, and bunkers were good.

Wasn’t many people out there. Hope they make it.

What kind of shape is it in at this time? I really like the layout! Playing in a scramble there on the 16th.... I don't know who is putting it on nor any details. Was asked to play by a friend...excited to play there....Any more info would be appreciated!

I love the course. Lots of elevation. Haven’t played since last post though.

Not sure when the new #2 will be open.
