Just seeing if anyone here has any lines they repeat to themselves to help focus right before a shot? I was watching a video and the guy mentioned "stand tall and watch the strokes fall." I tend to get squatty as the round progresses and I get tired, and just saying that to my self before iron shots helped me out a lot. A lot of crisp shots.

I've done this for a long time with driver, just never irons. My driver line is "slow is smooth and smooth is fast."

Golf is weird... hit em straight.

Never seemed to work for me. Just got to the point where I'd add a "FORE" at the end

When I get too quick, I saw my name in my head to get back to a smooth tempo.

Played with a guy I didn’t know recently that said “Everybody watch where this one goes” 18 times

The coolest thing anyone told me before putting was "knock in that double bogie." I was about to putt a 4 footer for birdie. I laughed because I was a little nervous. Then, walked up and drained it. Now, I say it to myself all the time.

On all par 3's:

Hail Mary, full of grace
The Lord is with thee.

Be with me now so I can hit it in three.

I forgot who it was, but I saw on golf channel a long time ago someone said that they tell themselves "I'm the best fricking golfer in the world" over and over in their head until they believe it before every shot. And a lot of golf coaches encourage self motivation like that cause it apparently works

Like many people, I find that certain music passages seem to improve my timing/ rhythm.

However, instead of the waltz tempo pieces suggested by many teachers I like the background music favored by circus jugglers!
