No one cares. You can listen to what you want while streaming on Twitch. That's the deal breaker.

No you can't or your replays/highlights will be muted and then you have to go to YouTube Gaming and upload your clips (which all major Twitch streamers have done for awhile now), another win for YouTube Gaming.

Again, no one cares about highlights. As it stands you can listen to whatever you want while streaming on Twitch. That will prevent YTG from taking anything from Twitch in regards to the largest stream audience (League).

Nice argument. Let me know when you actually think of a point to counteract with.

Boxbox has 717k followers. His highlights average 2k views. No one gives a shite about highlights.

Imaqtpie has 855k followers. His highlights fluctuate anywhere from 2k to 10k. The percentage of people that watch the live streams versus the people that watch highlights is minuscule.

Ikr? That's why I just had to end that conversation

"no one cares about highlights" because they listen to music that gets them muted, so they go on YouTube Gaming and upload them for all their subs on there. Derp.

Phantoml0rd has 500K subs on YouTube Gaming, Cowsep 150K, etc. All their stream "highlights" are on there.

Literally all of the big Twitch streamers edit their highlights and then upload them to YouTube Gaming, and even the smaller ones are pushing it hard anymore.

Has been doing stuff on YouTube for years. Even before Twitch. Not a valid argument.

All of this is beside the point. The point is people still listen to stuff that gets their highlights muted and don't care. You think they're going to switch to something that's going to interrupt the actual stream itself? No. They aren't. They're going to stay on the service that doesn't interrupt their stream.

His YouTube Gaming highlights/videos average well over 150K.

Right, because they just go over to YouTube Gaming and upload the edited versions over there.

That's great. People can go to YouTube for highlights like they have been doing for years. But people aren't going to switch to YTG for the very reason I stated. You can listen to what you want and not be interrupted. You're only proving my point for me. People don't go to twitch to watch highlights. They go to YouTube to watch highlights. Twitch loses nothing as long as YTG upholds their policy of interrupting live streams for copyrighted material. Twitch is way less invasive and streamers, myself included, prefer that.

Right, then just remove the middle man and not have to edit hours of videos and then go waste the time/bandwidth to upload them.

You're very ignorant if you think real streamers give a shite about not being able to stream Top 40 hits channels while playing games.

Just untrue, again, most streamers on Twitch for League, already listen to playlists that are fine for Twitch and YouTube. HypeM, Spotify playlists, remixes. Hell your stream yourself you play a TON of anime type music, as do others, which is legal. BY FAR the most popular music on Twitch for League is electronic remixes and playlists, which again, are legal. I guess KaceyTron listening to Katy Perry would be a no go for YTG, frick.

What was that website you were switching to because you hated Twitch about 6 months ago? 2 nights a week on it as you slowly transitioned over from Twitch? I forget the name. Your funny. Hitbox I think it was.

I am wondering if this would be a viable option to get into instead of starting with twitch?

You're very ignorant if you think that's the only thing YTG's copyright detection is going to catch. Twitch's is much less invasive and will mute stuff like anime title songs. YouTube's copyright detection is oppressive.

Untrue. Almost every pro player just listens to popular music. qtpie would get destroyed by YTG. Every TSM member, Boxbox, Voyboy, and just about every osu player would get interrupted.
