This puts pressure on them but I'm not sure how big of a sales difference it will be, especial with their current lead. They invested a lot into ps now to suddenly make it free. They might lower the price.

So is this backwards compatibility only for certain Digital 360 games or will I be able to download an update and be able to pop in Skyrim?

Not everything yet but they say the developers don't have to do any work but approve it. The pressure is on them to approve it basically.

So if the developer gives it the OK, I'll be able to pop in the 360 disc for that game or buy it digitally?

Yes. Sounds like you have to download it and it will just use the disc as drm.
