xbox 360 profiles all gone and wont save progress

One day everything was fine....all my profiles were there and games saved fine. Next day all profiles gone and wont save game progress.
Any ideas of what is happening or happened?

We're not going to be able to help you if you lie. I have a hard time believing that someone plays a lot of COD without playing online. Did these problems occur after you installed the dashboard update?

I play off the disc on my machine only. I dont do xbox live. Literally the night before the machine was fine....next day profiles gone (I had 4 for each of my family members) and game progress will not save.
And no one touched the machine from one day to the next.

And no I dont play pirated games.... I can afford the real ones.
All I want is some thoughts on what to do. If all you guys want to do is assume BS and not help I can get the thread deleted and just get another machine.

Definitely sounds like you have a corrupted hard-drive. What type of 360 do you have, how old is it, how big is the HD and how old is it?

Its fairly old (got it as a gift from a family that stayed with me after Katrina). Just weird that it worked fine when I went to bed and then next day its like the hard drive is gone.

i'd look into another HD if nothing else. buy new or just go out and get the new slim model cause it sounds like that one is on the edge of red ringing.

It is the 360 pro..... It had a 20 or 60 GB HD
