Ok, I have had One since release and gave my daughters my old 360. As time has passed they have slowly started taking over my One lol. I just decided to go ahead and give them my One and bought a new One S today. So how do I set it up so that they can use my Gold membership like they have been on their console.
Right now I am just signed in on the S to downloada few things before I move the One into the playroom for them.
I know they came out with the game sharing feature a couple of months ago but I didnt read a ton about it since I wasnt needing it. Well now I do and keep finding conflicting or old information online

Hoping one of you can just lay it out simply lol

Thanks

Do they play online or do you just want both xboxs to have access to games that you have downloaded?

Rarely do they play online. Primarily access to the games is the biggest thing

From what I gathered I could leave my original as my "home" console and they just sign in with their profiles like now
Then I would set the new one as her "home" and I just sign in as myself to get access to everything
Just wasn't sure if there was something different to do

That sounds right (I did this a while ago with my daughter) but can't recall the details.

Make an account for them to use on the X1 and use your current account on the X1S.

Link the account you made for them to your account. this allows their new account to download and play all the games you own on your account while also allowing them access to gold without needing their own subscription

Youtube

This video explains how to link the accounts
