WTF is dis bullshite...bought a PS4, can't play for 4 hours?

so I get a PS4 and this elder scrolls game that my buddy told me to get.
set-up all my shite(20 mins), insert disc....updating 4+ hours
start w/o update? Yes

I'm ready to return this crap, is this normal when you buy a game?

Yes it happens often but you bought an online game which is going to be a bad offender of that with all the updates. Make sure you are plugged into the internet for the best connection but sony download speeds are pretty bad in general.

I have been able to play all of my ps4 games within 5 minutes or less. Love it. Xbox one on the other hand, I returned it because every game took 3 hours or more to install. Very frustrating.

99% chance that game will have to update also. Start your update and go do something, no way around it. As soon as a game releases it usually has an update, plus the one you are trying to play has been out awhile so it will have that initial update plus all the others up until now to download.

Put your ps4 in rest mode and it will download a lot quicker...

think you have me confused with someone else.
Seems that they could build in a tutorial level that lasts a few hours while it updates(this is how you walk,fight, quest, etc)
.I know elder scrolls has one. Would be nice if it lets you get a few hours.
