Yeah the manual drop vids make it look so easy. Mine drop too close or sail behind by 100 yards.

finally watched one that helped. Had no idea about the ALT key being used for manual drop..all of a sudden it's very easy. at least 2 torps hit every time now

I'm gone try to download it again tonight. In a location where there is nothing but wifi and the first time i tired connection sucked. I will post either way to let you guys know if it's a no go i will download in Jan when i return to the states

I made the mistake of upgrading all of my ships but one, but I can't sell them and use those slots now without de-mounting the upgrades, which costs doubloons, which apparently costs real money.

you can also just destroy the upgrades for free, but you don't get any credits back

Sell those using the dropdown with the doubloon icons when you sell your ship. You get 1/2 your money back on those.
There are some good tips like that on the forums for the game too.

I suggest spend a little money on this and get gold for demounting upgrades, buy at least a month of premium and have a little left over for converting xp to freexp if you need it.
