I play Warships from time to time, but haven't played Tanks in quite awhile.

I started playing a few month ago. It's a simple game to learn but difficult to master since your success relies on the actions of 29 other people.
Before I dove in head first, I watched countless videos and strategy guide tutorials. I currently have around 2400 matches with a respectable "Noob" win8/efficiency rating and a win rate above 50%.
As such, I'm taking my time climbing the up the tiers with my highest being tier VI - that I just entered this past weekend.
I enjoy the game for what it is, entertaining chaos in a millennial Snowflake environment.
If you're on the PC version, I play as

Hey I play it on PC, I will add you when I get on tonight. My name on there is BeerPongChampion. It definitely takes some time to learn how to play it well. I have it figured out for heavy tanks but am now learning how to play mediums lol

Yes, but the there is no crossover server - you either play the Xbox or PS4 or PC or mobile versions.
Also, Xbox version is free last time I looked.

If you want to do cross platform..play war thunder. It has planes and tanks and about to have ships. But I'm pretty sure it's only ps4 and PC.
But cross platform games like this, the PC players have an absolute and extremely tangible advantage over the console players

I play on Xbox One. I think my highest tier is around Tier 8, with my Tiger II.

The tiger II, once upgraded is an absolute beast. Just angle slightly and try to find a hill to aim your hull downwards slightly to hide your lower plate. The e75 grind is miserable until you get the big top and gun then it's a killing machine. E100, run spall liner, gun rammer and vents. Use the big gun and use the HEAT rounds, damn near guarantee 700-1000 dmg on damn near anything.
