Just played the first 20 minutes of Bioshock and so far I have none of the complained about problems, looks great too.

The only title I've ever truly had issues with was Arkham Knight.

Usually the issue is ppl running under powered systems, needing driver updates, corrupted firmware or simply OS which needs a reimage.

Ppl are still bad at computers.

Underpowered wasn't the issue when I played the first one.

I know. That was an OS compatibility issue. I'm speaking to all the silly reports about games running at shtt on PC but it's very rarely experienced by myself.

I played maybe half of it years ago. Once I heard about the remaster, I wanted to play through it.

The game means a lot to me. Much more than it should. Lol

It was valuable edification for myself.

Finished Bioshock 1 & Challenge Rooms this morning. Got every achievement except Historian (made late game save in case I ever wanna go back and get the ones I missed), Brass Balls, and Seriously Good At This

Just not a good enough game from a gameplay perspective to suffer through the miserable grind of those higher difficulties

I love the game, but lord is the gameplay cumbersome. It seems like every time I alternate between hands I'm having to reload or inject eve.

Yeah it was a mechanic which wasn't fully worked out until Infinite IMO. Remember this game is pushing on a decade. The story and atmosphere is the true driver because it's a terrible shooter.

Edt: I've come across issues on PC but nothing serious at all. The performance is fine and looks great but textures randomly load in and out at times on specificly statues.

I really don't think the first Bioshock has aged well at all. It's fun to explore but frustrating as hell to actually play. I've never beaten the original, but I played all the way through Bioshock Infinite and loved it.

The gunplay has always been terrible, but yeah, switching between plasmids and weaponry is really clumsy. However, it's still fun to throw bodies at people. And frick the turrets.

Yep. Bioshock doesn't have great mechanics. The game is driven by story and atmosphere. Back at release the whole system with vigors was pretty cool. Now how you switch between the 2 does not feel natural. Then add to the inaccurate hip fire.

The reticle is hard to see, that's the only legit gripe I have found so far.
