if it is better than all of the other oculus rift games released in 2016, yes. That is what goty means.

If you are going for the schtick of being an idiot you have succeeded, but it won't play well on the board. If you are being serious you should sell you gaming equipment and take up sailing or something.

By doing what? Using the exact same logic? You can say PC GTA V is the best game released this year on PC because that is factually correct. You cannot; however, consider GTA as the "best game" of the year because the "game" came out in 2013 on PS3 and Xbox 360. In addition to the KOTOR argument, that'd be like me saying Tomb Raider or Sleeping Dogs Definitive Editions (both good games) were the best games in like 2013 or 2014. The reality of the matter is these were some of the best games released in the past couple of years that I got to play with updated graphics and a smoother framerate on more powerful hardware.

It's June. We're mid-way through the summer gaming drought, and there's not yet enough quality games released across all platforms to accurately list games that should be game of the year. Not when you have Fallout 4, Batman, Assassin's Creed, Battlefront, and Halo 5 all set to release this year.

At least from a perspective of a gamer who only owns a Sony console, Wii U, and a PC, I pretty much just listed the new games I've bought this year in the order that I enjoyed them.

All the games may not be out yet but there are 2 games out that most people would say are better than all of 2014.
