Including Ellie being invisible to enemy detection, but always being out in the open.
I don't mind her being invisible to enemies, but the AI is needlessly complex in many situations. I'm playing through the remastered version right now and just last night I'm hiding from 2 bad guys walking down a long hallway toward my location. While I'm doing this Ellie is bouncing from overturned desk to random crate and back again until she finally decides to crouch next to me, practically bumping into the 2 hunters at that point.
The second I crouched down to hide, all fancy AI routines should have been overridden and she should have walked directly to my location to hide. Sure, the enemy probably would have still seen her in real life, but it would certainly be a lot less immersion breaking than her playing musical chairs in front of the enemy.
