Any advantages to using one over the other...or just best deal?
Thanks in advance.

Some people just want the best deal, some want 1 platform, some want no DRM. Whatever you want works.

From what I can gather, sites like GOG will be a little bit cheaper than Steam, but you're at the mercy of whatever they are selling at that time. I know that's at least the case with humble bundle and bundle stars.

Doesn't GOG fix their old games too?

I buy from the cheapest site GOG, Steam, or GMG. Over half my Steam games were not purchased from them but I think they get a cut since they came with "steam keys."
