Yeah, this game looks fantastic. Put me in the apparent minority that loved the first one (I've never understood all the hate for it), so this is an automatic pre-order for me.

Calling it now. The "campaign" will be like the battlefield 1 "campaign" different self contained 30 min"tutorial levels" for the different eras being covered.
Not a chance they can string together one solid campaign covering every era

I wish they could make a game like this with an actual campaign map for multiplayer. Have different planets to attack and control for seasons. Back in the late 90's and early 2000's, there was a game called World War II Online. That game is still going on today and it absolutely had the best multiplayer campaign to ever exist, imo. The foot soldier gameplay was kind of crappy though

Honestly, I'd pay full price if they would just remake the OG Battlefront 2, update graphics, tighten up controls a bit, and add the current gen characters to the final updated list after its last DLC.

I actually still play that.
The graphics have been updated a bit and its still hella fun.

The only reason anyone plays it is because they slapped a Star Wars label on the box. Otherwise it's a terrible game. Basically just the same battlefield crap with a Star Wars mod

By no objective measure should it be considered a terrible game
The base game lacked content and the unlocks happened too slowly (and not much to unlock really), but what was there was mechanically solid, the graphics looked great, and it had few bugs.

The gameplay mechanics and feel were awful. I personally don't like the EA style of making FPS games. I guess some people like it.

Iden Versio leads Inferno Squad in #StarWarsBattlefrontII.
Inferno Squad is actually getting their own Canon Novel in the Summer, written by Christie Golden (Dark Disciple).
Also confirmed that Battlefront 2's campaign will be officially canon.

In Battlefront 2 you will be able to play as Luke and Kylo in the story mode.
