I was really excited about the dogfights in this game, but the flight controls are terrible or i'm terrible. shite is frustrating.

Anyone else on PC having sound issues? The sound will cut out and I'll have to reconnect my headset (USB). My speakers that go through the headphone jack don't work when I play either.
But holy shite this game looks amazing. I can only imagine what 1440p would look like

I haven't had those problems except for between rounds.

I caught Luke picking on my stormtroopers this afternoon. He was massacring them. I strolled over as Darth Vader and cut off much more than his hand. Then we all tea bagged him

Flying controls need a little work, but once you do it a few times it's a lot better. The first time or two it's difficult though bc it's such a stark difference from playing as a trooper on the ground

fricking young people are calling the big imperial walker a.t. a.t. they are spelling it out, it's a got damn at at, like you are "at" the movies!

This game is growing on me. But I can't help but rage every time someone swoops in and steals the fricking tie fighter or other powerup that I'm running for.

Now that people are actually learning to follow the objectives and listen to the announcer on the rebels side, Walker Assault has become much more balanced. At this point it's probably 60/40 Empire/Rebel victories for me. I like that the rebels have an uphill battle to fight too. They were out manned and out gunned in the movie and got their asses kicked aside from Wedge taking down the one Walker and Luke throwing a grenade into the bowels of another.

Yeah, it looks so GD beautiful at 1440p 144Hz, best decision I've made in awhile.
May actually get this game after all, Blops 3 just isn't going to do it for me and it's between those two for my FPS fix.

Yeah, I'm coming around. Would be nice to have people to play with for a change.
I've gotten good at flying pretty quickly, but I can't do shite with the hero. Lucky if I get two kills before I'm gunned down.

tried flying 3 times. i always immediately have someone on my arse locking onto me and i cant shake them regardless of what speed or how jukey i try to be. i might try plugging in my HOTAS but it fricks most games up so idk if worth the trouble.

I have a mouse that allows me to adjust DPI on the fly. I crank the DPI up (effectively speeding up the mouse) when I'm in the air, especially in a tie fighter.

I have spent quite a bit of time in the air on the Beta due to dogfighting being one of my favorite gaming activities. The controls are tricky at first, but one can learn how to use them effectively. Keep in mind this is from a XBONE perspective.
The various fighters (X & A-wing, Tie Fighter & Interceptor) are fairly balanced and effective. The shot registration when firing at another fighter needs work though. Additionally, I'm not a fan of the fact that some of the spawn pickups are in the middle of a death trap.
Rebel pilots should prioritize as such:
1. Enemy fighters.
2. AT-ATs when disabled.
3. AT-STs. Fighters hit those things hard.
In case you wonder why to prioritize the fighters over the AT-ATs, it is simply because you can't do much to the AT-ATs if you're dead.
All of that is fairly null and void if you're in a speeder, because then you're trying to take down the AT-AT. For those wondering, the AT-ATs have to be disabled by Y-Wings in the 3rd uplink round in order to tow cable them. It will provide a prompt on what buttons to press.
Imperial pilots should just kill enemy pilots and hassle ground units/turrets.

Came close to taking one down with a tow cable. Had a mountain in my way that kept me from staying level.

I will only play this game if they add Jar Jar Binks DLC.

You have to be fast and direct with the hero. If you don't run full speed and jump a lot, you'll be a sitting target. Best thing to do is take Vader into the rebel tunnel/hanger area. You'll be able to string kills together without taking too much damage with only blasters and grenades available there. Luke is tougher, I'd focus on staying out of open areas with him too though. He's better suited for sprinting to objectives and defending the area to get it secured

I don't see how to play it any other way than to progress the mission by winning each individual checkpoint.
It's good that they give an award to the player with the most mission points.
Keeps away the campers.
