I think I have gotten most of my kills as the hero by just blocking people's shots right back in to them. 
I actually like playing with Luke more than Vader because he's quicker.

I had a Tie Fighter explode right above me after running into an outjut of rock.
It won't be recorded as such, but it was an indirect kill after I mishandled a thermal detonator...it masked the terrain and he misjudged the height of the terrain.

On the Xbox it is the left trigger. There is a little reticle where you can aim the direction of the deflections.

Played for about 8 hours yesterday with the GF.
The game is just fun. Can't compare it to Battlefield or the other Battlefront. It is its own breed. It is just really fricking fun. Something I can easily just pick up and enjoy.

I have never been in a one on one match with a player with hero powers and lost.
I just see him coming and stand still and they slowly make their way to me. By that time I can drop them.

Yeahhhhh not me. I am the bitch that runs and makes it someone else's problem.
The times i got hero last night it always spawned me far from the battlefield and wasted time. Was the only thing that frustrated me a bit.

Nothing is worse than getting a hero power up, or fighter power up, and the bar at 97% and u die from a gun shot.
U dead, Power up gone!!!!
I do hate that when you power up to be a hero, it spawns you so far away.

This beta is legit. The graphics look amazing and the gameplay is fun. Really liking it.

I was sitting in one of the satellite dish lasers looking for kills. Sure enough, Luke spawns right in my line of vision. I target him and he doesn't immediately move, probably checking the controls. BOOM ROASTED. Jedi ain't got shite on satellite
Another story, I was in a turret and shooting at rebels. Ran out of people to kill. Started shooting at X Wings instead. I see one flying in my direction and I started shooting at him. They're really tough to hit with the turret. I hit it a couple times and got really excited, holy shite I'm taking this thing down as it flies towards me! I keep shooting and it flies closer and closer to me. It's heading right for me! Kamikaze! I'm dead and so mad lol

Well frick yeah looks like from reading this thread I can finally use my xbone 1. Got it a year ago for advanced warfare played it one day and haven't played on it since then. Gonna Pre order battlefront.

Just running near or underneath a huge AT-AT while shooting at guys is pretty epic. Graphics look so damn good.

One of the coolest things that's ever happened to me that I keep replaying in my mind is running through the tunnels in the rebel base. I walk out one on the side of the cliff and as my vision adjusts to the blinding light an AT-AT leg moves across my field of view.
It was just so cool to pop out at the base of this huge vehicle.

My oldest son is playing the beta tonight and will let me know what he thought about when I get home in the morning from work. He has heard good things about it from his friends. Pecs
