Capcom hasn't exactly been the best of companies either. Let's not forget the on-disk DLC debacle of theirs.

As for other companies that are pretty awesome, I'll throw out Bethesda and CD Projekt Red.

Great value.

Worth it for the 2 episodes, Team Fortress 2, and Portal.

I'm a little surprised, but I think it just might be hard to come by now. I still think it's pretty reasonable for that price.

I want to say inXile, but until we see how Wasteland 2 turns out I'll hold judgement. I am pretty hyped for it though.

Your call. It's an older game so your Mac, I would think, should handle it just fine.

HL2 is $10, Orange Box is $20. Stout had a link for HL2 that was cheaper in his "Hidden" thread, I believe.

To anyone reading this: Do yourself a favor and play HL2, Ep1, and Ep2.

Its a first person shooter, with some puzzles. And a fricking wild story, in an unmatched setting.

I think dice is the only company that hasn't spit out crap yet. Besides rockstar. Even that table tennis game was fun.

As much as I dislike EA, I have to agree on DICE.

Plus, from what I've been hearing, DICE may be working on the much needed sequel to Mirror's Edge.

If that makes Scruffy a hypocrite, he don't care. Mirror's Edge is a fricking awesome game.

It isn't really an FPS. Yea, you can steal guns from people and use them, but that isn't the normal gameplay. It involved getting from point A to point B as fast as possible. Figuring out the quickest route was the challenge.

Plus, the graphics/color scheme was great and the visuals were awesome.

Mirror's Edge Trailer

That is nothing but actual gameplay. The game was original and a blast to play.

The main complaint against Mirror's Edge is that the story was lacking (it was). It is a very simple game.
