So I was going to buy a ps3 this week

I am having second thoughts because of all this hacking business. Bad time to make this purchase?

I have no doubt that this hacking business will be sorted out in the long-term so it shouldn't be too big of an obstacle for making this purchase.

Well, It may be a good time for Sony to give a PS3 price drop, so I would wait and see.
As far as purchasing the PS3 in general, this PSN thing should blow once it is up. I am assuming it will be back up shortly, but no one really knows.

I wouldnt worry about the psn stuff, ot will be back up within the month and probably within the week. In the meantime u can catch up on the single player games youve missed

I don't use Netflix, but I have seen mutliple TD GB posts about still being able to use the service, even though PSN is down.
