Last November & December I spent roughly 400 hours with 2 characters. I never went beyond the 2nd main quest.

Just when I was about to start the main quest line, my Xbox died and I was once again a member of the working class.

I think the massive time spent on Skyrim burned me out because I haven't been able to get into any games in almost 1 year.

I did start a new Skyrim character around April after getting a new Xbox but burned out fast.

After a couple of weeks in December, I am lvl 63.

I'm fixing up the thieves guild, then I will hit the companions guild, then the mages guild, assassins, then finally the main quest.

TLDR

My question, is the DLC worth it?

This has happened to me with a game before. Putting that much time into something and then its gone ruins games for awhile.

Some aspects are. Basically, if you want to turn your game into a Mid-evil Sims made by Bethesda.

The home building DLC looked pretty lame.

I still don't understand why they essentially made the best house the first one you get.

Yeah there are better looking houses but I never understood the alchemy pouch not being in all of the houses or movable.

Did any of the patches fix this?

Does the DLC home kick arse when completed?

Where you at DoU?

House is badass but im not sure its worth the price for just the house. Dawngaurd added new questlin and new side quests. Made the vapire badass but a hassle to use. I enjoyed both but nothing ground breakingly new.

I've never been much of a fan of vampire storylines. Being a Vamp is a total pain in the A.

I enjoyed all of the dlc, dragonborn especially. I like being able to create potions, smith, enchant, and improve shite in my house.

I tried a vampire run on the vanilla version. Yea, it is a huge pain in the arse. A werewolf unarmed rampage is much easier for me...though fighting the dragons sucked.

Vampire lord does give some payoff to being a vampire.

Can't play Dragonborn yet but it sounds like the best of the three DLC packages. In Dawnguard you get one new small area and all the quests take place in the area you already have, dragonborn actually has new areas to explore.

dawnguard was average dlc, not worth the price.

dragonborn well worth the price, its what a DLC should be.

building your homes is ok, very little you can actually do to it, you have to choose from their dealios, you cannot put things where you want. not worth dlc, but its a buy, cause it gives you some good places to dump treasures, your wife,
and derelict children.

i thought all skyrim stuff was on sale today or tomorrow on xbox market place.

I loved it and put over 200 hours in it, but its a different expierence with the same gameplay concept. It hard for me to play an older iteration of a game after playing a newer one.

looks like the sale is today for skyrim and oblivion

dawnguard and harthfire are on sale, as well as skyrim for $19.

oblivion is on sale as well as 2 dlc's.

Yeah I put seriou hours into oblivion. The thieves guild was better in it but magic was kind of confusing. Also the knights of 9 storyline was really cool.

I agree the quest story lines were cool, but closing all the damn gates got tedious.

I got to the point where I would just pickpocket everyone and pick every lock in every house just for fun. I was really bored that summer lol.

Magic was confusing but you could create spells, which goes hard.
