I remember Oblivion overdoing the leveling of enemies. Am I right in that?

As in, there wasn't much incentive to progress your character because the enemies leveled up right along with you too much?

Think they reigned that in a little bit with Skyrim, though I understand there was still some of that. Though done more reasonably.

I need to go back and try Morrowind again, the first couple of times I tried it I couldn't get into it. It's strange because I loved Oblivion and Skyrim.

I'd like to see TES VI set in the Black Marsh and revolve the story around the Hist trees (similar to the Elder Scrolls books). Though it would be awesome for them to open everything up and go to Akavir.

You definitely had to be more careful in leveling yourself. There was a little bit of that in Skyrim, but they made it more gradual and manageable. You pretty much had to get a combat and armor skill up first in Oblivion unless you wanted to scumsave/reload A LOT.

Back when it came out it was such a big deal to have such an enormous game. Not so much anymore. Plus playing it now, you are hamstrung by graphics.

I loved Morrowind because you really could become a god which was a good thing since you were fighting a god. Definite problems with balance. Since potions stacked, within about 30 minutes of starting you could have 1 billion intelligence which meant you never had to replenish your mana.

I've been pissed at Elder Scrolls since the killed flight. What a joy to be able to simply fly over a mountain. Also was cool finding hidden stuff only accessible with flight.

Don't miss the sand storms. Don't miss those damn birds attacking from the sky.

Morrowind's visuals have aged well, but the combat is horrible. It's just like Oblivion's combat only with dice rolls determining whether you hit or not.

Cliff Racers are the bane of the Nereverine's existence.

I was so glad when they made them neutral in TES: Online.

Giving console gamers the game PC gamers have had for half a decade.

All for the low low price of buying the game again.

Yeah, not dropping cash for this. Are they going to remaster the terrible gameplay, too?

Bethesda games are enigmas to me. Average games at best without mods, among the top RPG's on the market with mods.

After Fallout 4, I don't have much optimism for their RPGs.

Well if you have the legendary edition on steam it gets auto upgraded. Probably enough to suck me in again.

I thought I knew what Fallout was about, but then I got a bunch of one word dialogue choices and stripped down character building.

Fallout and TES have been consistently stripping out complicated elements of their games, which makes me nervous.

Tough crowd in here. When Skyrim released it was great for the time, I can't believe it's been 5 years. There aren't many Bethesda games that have disappointed me.

Why would it matter for PC players? Skyrim with the 4k res mod and an ENB still looks better than this new version.
