Silent Hill Series Question

Meh, don't know if you can really consider silent hill an actual series because the only thing that stays the same is the town... each game centers around a different character and their connection with the town and based on your choices throughout the game the ending is different, so I'm pretty sure you don't need to play the other ones to understand that shite is wrong with the town and their is a mystery surrounding each character's past that plays through each game
