This part made me laugh:

quote:

The “NCAA Football” franchise is dead, and the players who join the lawsuit that killed it will receive enough money to buy a new XBox on which they can not play the latest “NCAA Football.”

The players who have joined the lawsuit will only get $270

Ima laugh when EA releases NCAA football again. It would be a giant to the no name fricker who had to ruin this game for all its fans

Sam Keller was so hated by his team mates that they went to the Head Coach of ASU at the time and asked him to name his backup as the season starter prior to what would have been Keller's senior season. The HC complied and Keller then quit the ASU team and transferred to Nebraska (after sitting out a year) where he had a less then stellar senior season there.

EA is sitting on a gold mine if they decide to bring it back. That game only averaged about 800,000 sold annually but if they decide to bring it back with the hiatus it has been on and with the new playoff system implemented on top of next-gen graphics, it can sell at least 2 million copies.

I used to party with him all of the time, his roommate worked for me, and the dude could PARTY! He was always doing blow and banged a different smoking hot broad every night, sometimes 2 or 3 at the same time. He sure did have the life for a very average football player.

All EA had to do was remove the names from the announcer voice files...

Didn't teams and conferences start pulling their names from the game too?

I love NCAA games, but I think this is a bit too optimistic. The cost of developing games for current-gen consoles is far higher than previous consoles, and the return on developing two football games just isn't enough to justify it. My take on it is that they were looking for a reason to kill it off without people losing their minds and used the suit to do so. They can't push an Ultimate Team mode on NCAA, which is a big part of their strategy, and at best, it'd be a slightly different version of Madden. Factor in things like costs to recreate every stadium in a new engine, and you can see why they killed it off.
