Well since you're slaughtering innocent people in an airport I can see people being upset about it but that didn't stop me from playing the mission multiple times. Maybe I'm a bad person. It's just a game someone that is old enough to play the rest of the game is old enough to play that mission. Most parents don't pay attention to the games their kids play then point fingers at everyone but themselves.

What's worse? That scene or the fact that a parent knowingly buys a grotesquely violent game for their kids?
The scene is horrific in it's context but as whole, the game us pretty violent. I myself have bought the game but I would never buy it for or play it around my kids. But I guess I'm out of the norm when it comes to parenting.

Why do they say no russian...whats the point?

quote:They don't want anyone hearing them speak Russian. If anyone survives and hears them speaking Russian, the culprit's cell can be traced back to Russia, narrowing the search and eventually leading to Makarov. I guess, anyway.

Also, I can understand the parents being angry. But, what I don't understand is them being angry at Best Buy. You are the parent. Don't let your young child play a game in which they shoot people. What's the complaint? Is it the No Russian level? Do these parents know that their kids get online and do the EXACT SAME KIND OF THING in multiplayer, and have been doing so since XBOX Live was set up?

Its the Key to the whole game. They framed the American for the attack and "No Russian" was involved

They are trying to give the illusion that they are Americans shooting up the Russian International airport to spark the war between the United States and Russia. They say "Remember...No Russian" meaning speak English to each other so everyone thinks they are American.
Thats the way I saw it at least. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I do think the mission is a little over the top, but the parents need to understand the game is rated M for Mature for a reason. If you don't want your kid playing the game, dont buy it.

They didn't want anyone to speak russian....didn't want anyone to know that it was russian's doing the slaughter.

You are right. The plan was to frame the US for the attack

i saw around 10 or so parents with their kids monday night standing in line when the game was released....people like that have no right to bitch. the people at best buy yesterday were considering purchasing the game, but another older person said not to and told them why.

That doesn't change the fact that innocent people are being murdered. I have no issues with the mission. It's a mature game and it has mature themes. The mission is a key point in the game.

If the whole point is to take down Makarov, why doesnt the deep cover CIA guy just blast the dude in the airport while he is killing the innocents?

Right, but what's the fun in that?

I don't see the difference between this and any action movie that I've ever seen where bad guys kill innocents. This isn't to say that it shouldn't evoke any emotions. It should. It's a dramatic scene. But remember...
It's entertainment. You should be able to separate this from reality. Politicians and parents just need something to bitch about since historically they don't do their jobs very well and need to focus the attention on something else. If you don't want your darling child to see violence, don't let them play games intended for adults.
I'm tired of playing with those high pitched whiny frickers anyway.
