I replayed it over the summer and it just made the itch for a new one worse.

I'd like to have more options in it.
Obviously, when you hit water you shouldn't die. And also being able to beat someone to death, after a 15 minute beating, they shouldn't be able to get back up looking for a fight.

I'm going to be so let down if this is a remaster. And knowing Rockstar I'll have to wait two years until the release if this is a new game.

If I had time to play an open world game I would be so pumped. I have GTA V and made 2% progress. I played it like a week. I loved it, but I just can't keep up with it. It'd be like me trying to keep up with a fantasy football team.

It's definitely a chore at this stage of my life. I finally beat The Witcher, but I neglected some stuff here and there (studying mainly)

I think a new RDR or even a remaster (hopefully not the latter) would get me to play through an open world game. Rockstar just makes it enjoyable to do. I still haven't beaten Skyrim or the Witcher and really have no intention because I just don't have the time commitment anymore

I'd actually be pretty shocked if it was a remaster. It's pretty much an open secret that they've been working on a new Red Dead.
Also wouldn't surprise me if it was ready and the release date was not that far off. They don't need a drawn out marketing campaign for this.

I'm thinking that's what it's going to be. They already saw the huge success of the remastered GTA V, so why not toss out another remaster to buy them an extra year or two for RDR2? Also, it gets people back into wanting to play this series since it's been six years since the first one and works twofold by increasing the hype for the sequel.
Plus, I'm watching WestWorld and on a wild west kick right now, so a soon remaster would be nice
