My recommendation is Invisible, Inc. I've been hooked on it for a couple weeks now. It's a roguelike, turn-based, stealth/spy-strategy game.

WTF is...... Invisible, Inc

83 on Metacritic

Not really recent, but Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is incredible and rarely talked about.

I thought about giving this a try but never did. Regardless it looked different and like it may be a cool. Its a Dungeon builder/open world MMO from what i gather.

Trove

And now a TLDR game description from my ADK " lets get this game going" forums.

-Voxel based MMO

-Voxel based means you are able to create and destroy the world before you. (Within reason)

-MMO means you are capable of playing with massive amounts of players. (Yes, it is instanced)

What does being Voxel based MMO mean for the game itself?

-Users generate most of the dungeons, weapons, and more!

-You are able to create your own home that can be placed on any cornerstone.

What is a Cornerstone?

-A cornerstone is a small designated plot you can place your home on at any point.

-When you design your home on a cornerstone you can then move it to any other cornerstone point you may find.

-Your cornerstone is immune to destruction and building to everyone but yourself.

-Cornerstones act as a field base that you can rapidly deploy and do what you may need to inside.

What about building as a community?

-Your community can create a Club World

-In a Club World community members can be designated as architects and allowed to create within the world.

-A Club World becomes your community's Base of Operations, where you can set up portals and crafting areas similar to one's own Cornerstone.

So Is this just a game just about building? Of course not!

-Trove is very much a combat based game as much as a building game!

-You are given the choice of one of all but the most recently added class(es) to pick from when first starting.

-Your combat play style is your choice and not forced upon you based on your class.

Accessibility

-At the time of writing this game is less than 1 GB, making it a fast download and install!

-This game is easily played in short bursts or long marathons of playing.

-Building stats for your class is easy to understand.
Building structures in the game is an easy system to operate.

-Combat is far from a complicated system.

Crafting

-Crafting is a simple system where you are shown what things can be made at certain crafting stations

-When attempting to craft something if you do not know what an ingredient is you can mouse over it and it will often tell you how to get it.

-Crafting is not required to play the game, not even as a free user.

-Crafting will require you to do things such as mining to get resources, which is a very fluid system, or for example will allow you to do things such as gardening.

Truly Free to Play

-The premium market is shown on your screen once after you log in and then only again if you open it.

-Most premium content can be purchased for very reasonable prices with an easy to earn free currency (Unlike Planetside2 for example)

-Premium "Subscriptions" do not give you an overwhelming advantage over free users. I was given a free 3 day trial and hardly noticed a difference.

-All game altering premium content can be purchased with the free currency.

-Most of the premium store is cosmetics such as mounts. The mounts for example do not give any speed advantage over a free user's mounts.

-There is no lock on progression for free users, you get the full game for free.
Cosmetic Customization

-Whenever you find any loot, Weapons, Masks, Hats, etc. you are able to use them as a cosmetic override after deconstructing (Vendor selling equivalent) the item(s). This allows you to use that really cool looking sword you found earlier, while getting the great stats of this horribly ugly one you just found.

-All but the very first starter mount move at the same speed, allowing you to just use what you think looks best!

-All wings travel at the same speed allowing you to pick your favorite pair.

-You can purchase various sails for your boat(s) to choose what you think looks best!

-Non-Combat pets have stat bonuses for having out. Certain pets give different bonuses than others.

Frequently Updated!

-New content is consistently being added to the game.
As covered earlier, user generated content is being added with most patches and fixes.

-New classes, biomes, additions to professions (Fishing, Gardening, etc.) and much more are being updated often

I think From Dust in this PSN sale is pretty unknown. Combination of Black & White and populous.
