Are you dead set on a laptop?

You're in luck, most gaming laptops worth a shite have to be huge to compensate for heating issues.

Gaming laptops are going to kinda suck. I was just looking into them and by and large they suck. Unless you drop a shite ton of money on one. You should check out the building a gaming desktop thread. You could build a nice gaming desktop for around 1k and spend the rest on a laptop for work.

Well I guess I need to just suck it up and build a desktop

IMO its a waste of money
you could get a much better desktop setup at a much better price
gaming on a laptop isnt that great anyway. I just don't think its worth it. if you have to game while on the go, then just get a psp or something

i have a desktop for my hardcore gaming and a laptop that i spent about 1k on that lets me play most everything, but not on ultra settings and such.
I guess my point is if you really want a laptop don't go overboard on it and spend the real money on a desktop

I agree with the above.
You should spend about $1-1.2k on a pc and put the rest into a laptop that'll run games on low settings just to have something to play on
