No, that's the list of the files that should be in the nbajamte.zip file. You put the nbajamte.zip file in the path for the version of MAME you want to use. I posted the paths a few post prior but they can also be found here.

Ok for some reason when I download the rom and open the folder it just shows those .bin files and I don't see a zip file ...I'm on a Mac by the way don't know if that makes a difference or not

The file you are downloading and opening is the zip file, though your OS might be obfuscating that fact. Copy the file you downloaded to the previously mentioned path(s) and it should work, assuming NBA Jam TE works at all. I've only played vanilla NBA Jam on my Pi.

Hey how did you go about adding your own photos and info? I scraped it but it left some off, mostly all my PS1 games for some reason

The file "Gamelist.xml" contains all of the metadata for your roms, including where the images for them are stored. There is a "gamelist.xml" file generated in each folder for each system that contains roms.

A good place to start is to open up that gamelist.xml file for a system that does have images and poke around to see where they are stored. I believe Retropie 4.1 stores them in a subfolder under each system's rom folder.

I don't have access to my Pi at the moment, so that's the extent of the help I can offer. I will say that, while the scraping tools help, it took me a while to get every rom / iso I have with accurate box art and semi-accurate metadata (release year, publisher, description, etc.).

If you have a lot of roms and you've already tried scraping, the remainders will need to be fixed by hand.

Ok got everything working finally but I have a dumb question. Is there any way to power the system other than plugging the system back in each time?

If you go back a few pages, I think someone bought a power switch for theirs. Outside of that, you just got to unplug the power cord.

Also Daily, I found a way just to scrape for a singular game after using sselph and that's been perfect so far. Seems weird sselph wouldn't have some of the games that it missed, but the internal scraper has them

You can turn it off through one of the menus. I think it's an option when you press "Start" in EmulationStation. If you want to turn it on again you'll need to unplug and plug it back in or use a power strip with its own switch. You can add a power button but it's a separate piece of hardware and your case will need to be modified for it.

Honestly, I just leave mine own pretty much all the time. It doesn't use much more power than a cell phone charger.

Ah, I thought you had tried both scrapers. Good to hear the built-in one worked for you.

Have any of you found a way to make every game fullscreen? I've tried changing some of the overscan numbers in the programming but nothing has done it

When you say "full screen" do you mean you want the games in a 16:9 format rather than the 4:3?

I like mine in 4:3 since everything looks odd and stretched out otherwise for most games, but I have had issues with there still being a border up top and at the bottom on certain TV's. To fix that I've had to enable this setting in the config.txt file and/or experiment with these numbers.

If you want them 16:9, there are menu driven settings in the start-up options for every system. You can get to them by selecting a game with 'A' and after EmulationStation fades away but before the game loads, press a button. It should open up a blue configuration window that lets you adjust video settings for all games for that system or even that specific game.

On top of that, there are even more video settings you can mess with while you are in a game by pressing "Select" + X. You'll need to experiment there for what your goal is.

alright. so i'm fairly setup now. got the raspberry pi built. configured. and have my NES, SNES, and N64 ROMs installed and working.

.....so the next obvious question is: how do i save game data? is this going to be be different for each console?

ETA: nevermind. that's already built into retropie using hotkeys. Damn, they've really thought of everything!

Select + DPad Left = Decrease Save State Slot #
Select + DPad Right = Increase Save State Slot #
Select + Left Shoulder = Load from Current Save Slot
Select + Right Shoulder = Save to Current Save Slot

I have the complete set of .78 roms to run if someone wants them. I bought the xarcade tankstick LINK to run with mine for golden tee specifically. Roms are easy to find.

Also I saw a previous post about the scrapers. You can exit out of it and use a hidden scrapper in the menu that will find 99 percent of the artwork. I think its option 23 in the menu (Sself scraper)
