Racing game suggestions

I'm looking for a good offline multi-player racing game with a split screen. Just something I can enjoy with my wife and son, any ideas? PS3 or 360 doesn't matter.

The Grid and Dirt franchise's are solid as frick.
Also, personally, I love the Test Drive Unlimited games. I know a lot of people that think they are rubbish, but I think they a great.

For arcade, I'm a big fan of Burnout Paradise. It's a few years old but extremely fun and open world. Need For Speed is a series that is pretty popular also.
Forza is a good SIM series for the 360, I've heard.

Haven't played since forza 3 but that series was always badass
