Thinking about hooking up the 360 in the living room and getting a Kinect so my daughter can play

Does the 360 version of the Kinect work pretty well or is it a pain to get in the perfect position to sense movement?

What is the best "dance" game? I'm not sure how many there are. Dance dance and dance revolution? I'm guessing there are multiple releases of different ones?

My daughter is 3 so just looking for something she'd enjoy

As the Gaming Board's leading motion dancing subject matter expert (brushes off shoulders):

- The Kinect 1.0 does okay. Not great motion technology and doesn't hold a candle to 2.0. But for what you are looking for it's good.
- Dance Central was always my favorite dance game to play on the 360. But I made the switch to Just Dance for the One and it's also a good product.
- I'm sure she will have a blast playing with any setup you hook her up with.

yeah, she'll have fun either way. Obviously dad will be joining in the fun

I was thinking of grabbing one of those Kinect exercise vids to see if's any good. Have you tried those or is just a bunch of jumping jacks where you keep up with the host?

I'm assuming Kinect 1.0 is 360 version and 2.0 is the One?
