Any of you guys ever heard of Monkeypod? I knew the counters in the kitchen at our new house were wood, but found out today after speaking with the homeowner that they are made from Mokeypod Trees in the South Pacific.
Here they are:
Had the home inspection done today also. Went over to speak with the owner the inspectors and really the only problems found were minor electrical problems. An open splice in the attic that needs to be put in a junction box, a plug that wasn't grounded, and then both the sub panel and main panel had an open space where a breaker had been taken out. Other than that everything else checked out fine.
Now we have to wait on the termite inspection and go fill out the final paperwork for financing approval and we'll be set.

yeah they're electric. they converted over from gas when they bought and remodeled the home but all the gas lines are still there and capped off. we could always go back to gas if we decide to.
