PC Gaming Setup

I'm thinking of getting into PC gaming and was wondering if some of you would be willing to show off some of your current setups and add some specs. By looking at stuff online it looks like it's easier to just order the whole package instead of buying individual parts..Thoughts?

Buying prebuilt is of course easier, but you get far less for your money.
99% of people's gaming rigs here are custom-built. Plenty of us here can help you with a part list if you give us a budget.
And since you asked, here's mine:
Specs:
i7-7700K
16GB DDR4-3200
SLI GTX 1080 Ti
512GB 960 Pro NVMe
some other SSDs
a bunch of expensive water-cooling parts

your most expensive thing on a 2K budget will be 4K monitors. if youre willing to settle for 1080 resolution you can build an amazing rig thats capable of running 4K later, that you wont have to upgrade for years, and save 300+. Id build the best PC for the money and make the peripherals second priority.

I want to add on to this thread.
Does anyone have a gaming laptop or can one be built as easily as it seems to be building a desktop pc?
I'd love to invest in a gaming PC, but if I would like something I can throw in a backpack and take on the road with me too.

IMO buy, I have not seen anyone build a laptop on here yet.

Damn near impossible to build your own laptop. There is nothing standard about those. Every manufacturer is different.

I probably built the damn near close to best portable PC, but you it's still no laptop

I've gotta get a new desktop now.
Ironically, this happened in the middle of teasing a guy in general chat who was asking about anyone else experiencing lag. I had said not lag, CIA/NSA and just as I hit enter from adding "or those Chinese gold Spammers you just bought from" my screen flashed and went to the above.
Pretty sure it's the motherboard. the vertical snow bands are still there but it keeps recycling boot or ends up with diagnostic/repair offer but just recycles between those 2 (reboot or repair).
It was a good 8 year run with the old thing anyway. /sniffles
