CrossfireX question, if you have two cards one lesser than the other is it even worth it to crossfire them? If one is crossfire ready and the other is not, is there any benefit to installing both cards?

You can only crossfire cards in the same series. You can xfire a 7970 and 7950, but the 7970 would run as a 7950. You cant xfire a 7950 with a 7850. The cards have to have the same first two numbers (78xx, 79xx, 68xx, etc) to be able to xfire

The 7950 seems to drop pretty often, especially with the new 8xxx series coming out

Strange, it seems like sellers get burned more than buyers do. If you get screwed by a seller, PayPal will give you your money back. Chargeback is a feared word.
I was lucky to grab my 7970 for $359. The prices seem inflated right now.

I rarely buy anything new. I always use eBay/craigslist and swear by it and PayPal.

Like previously stated I benched Friday but was having problems with the physics test @ anything over my 4.5 OC.
I will again this weekend when I have time. There was 0 time for anything with gift wrapping, holiday shopping, family stuff and other things with the SO.
What is the deadline for entry?

I haven't made one yet. Probably when everyone has submitted their scores then I'll close it down

Isn't the 7950 the card of choice for Bitcoin farmers?
It is actually a 6 series.. I think 6850 or 6950. Really don't remember but I do know this is or will soon to not be the case anymore due to a new/upcoming software update.

a) i7 3820 @ 4.1
b) Alienware x79 mobo
c) EVGA GTX 680 2GB @ 1006/1502 (but with a +120MHz boost clock offset & +500MHz mem clock offset)

5830 actually. Low hash rate but also very low power consumption. At least that was the case back in early 2011 when mining was worth the trouble.
