His lack of self-awareness can be pretty cringe.
Edt: Believe me I totally understand. Just hope it is just being a youth. He is this board's Jake Paul, everyday bro.

Then like JP's neighbors I would like to appeal to the city council to kick him out.

Its huge but if you ever used 2011 sockets before, the heat sinks are much larger.
This is at another level though.
I have to get my hands on a Threadripper.

Maybe it Sweden but USD it might be the same as a 1080. For the past few months some sites have been talking about that they wont be able to make this card that chip just because of HBM2 current prices. Maybe that is holding card back from dipping into the Upper Mid-Range market where the 1080 sits.
RX Vega costs as much as a 1080 Ti?
RX Vega costs as much as a 1080 Ti?

AMD is said to make an official presentation of Radeon RX Vega, the first consumer model based on its Vega architecture, under Siggraph, starting on Sunday, July 30th. In the run-up to the long-awaited launch of RX Vega, there are already leaked additional performance tests on the graphics card. Results that indicate that Radeon RX Vega delivers performance in class with Nvidia's performance chart Geforce GTX 1080. If these leaked performance results, which match well with tests on the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition, it means that AMD will not threaten Nvidia on performance. The Geforce GTX 1080 Ti looks forward to being unharmed on performance, something that now does not seem to prevent AMD from taking really paid for its own flagship.

NordicHardware has obtained preliminary pricing information from Swedish distributors where the Radeon RX Vega price tag lands around 7,000 SEK excluding VAT. However, this is the purchase price for retailers and with VAT as well as own margins it seems to be a price tag that rarely lands at around SEK 9,000 including VAT. Sources of NordicHardware also testify that prices are generally different between manufacturers and models, and prices are currently without any detailed specifications. In other words, there is a possibility that the final retail prices change at the last minute, but our sources mean that prices are real and final. Something that made people transparent to Swedish dealers expresses the following around;

I don't really get the personalization trend.
I don't need fancy neon lights and shite. I want my PC cool, quiet, and as out of sight as possible.
To each his own I guess.

I am the same way. But do enjoy really quality components for cooling. It is something fun to do venture into as a hobby but this also makes the computer quiet. With my rig I can run with 0 fans spinning and still stay below 50C but you need some air flow across the motherboard, so rarely run it this way.
LEDs on everything increases the cost and we dont have decent mid to high range offerings without it. Really sucks.

Not yet, I will order soon. Just been busy.
Hosting an engagement party for one of my little sisters. So we have to do all the ordering of chairs, tents, fans and food. Well I have an indecisive sister, so that means i'm pushed against a deadline that is only 3days away.
Trying to find a large event tent to buy because i'm not paying $280 for a rental. Rather spend $1K and have it forever, can always use those things.

Nah don't talk shite to me on a board because my posts aren't what you like.
I don't care who you are if you don't like it don't read it, simple.
Don't try and police a message board. He did the same shite a few months ago trying to say this thread is for PC stuff only and he got shot down then too.

The same is happening with nVidia midrange cards
Actually it is almost all because of mining.
Wall Street stunned over AMD’s blowout results due to cryptocurrency mining demand
AMD cards have always been used for mining while Nvidia never really was. As a result the software wasn't there for Nvidia to begin with.
AMD cards became so impossible to find it trickled down to having to use Nvidia which in return forced devs to create software for mining with Nvidia cards.

Because of the higher compute.
We all experienced the mining craze of 2013-2014 here. Probably had 10+ posters with 5+ GPUs mining BTC back then.

This is the only good reason RX Vega will do okay with sales. Theoretical compute is around 13TFlops giving price/performance okay at the $500 mark.
If the market holds..
Edt: No one is buying that garbage at that price point. They will just hold out for something else. HBM2 was a bad decision in a gaming card for AMD.

Right, better price/performance and typically better HR.
So this go around the first few months were again AMD cards only. Then once the shortage was too much you saw them start to develop the programs to use Nvidia cards and then there they went.
Should be solid for Nvidia earnings as well, just not as much because it was later.

Mining is fun but a headache at times.
Once you have all your cards hooked up and running, it is fine.
What I couldn't stand was the noise. I had 1x290 and 4x7870s and 1x7950 back then. It sounded like a swarm of giant fckking bees. So took it out my computer room, put in garage. Still could hear it in the house. Then put in attic, still could hear it.
Idk if i'll ever do that shtt again just because of the noise.
