Nah, not at 1440p and certainly not if it didn't hold back your current card. Any game that would reveal a CPU bottleneck on a 3770K (especially if overclocked) probably would run like shite on any CPU.
I am considering seeing how much I can get for my 980s plus EK blocks plus the original reference coolers in original boxes. Then add the extra $300(?) for a pair of 980 Tis that I'll just run on air for a while. Just trying to determine if it's worth it. And by worth it, I mean whether or not this clearly piss-poor financial decision is worth the gratification I'll get from using 4K DSR. It would absolutely lead to me purchasing a 4K gsync monitor by the end of the year. And eventually, OCD would force me to get blocks and backplates for them.

Awesome deal. Let me think about it. I probably shouldn't spend anything since I got the gpu, too a trip to TN, and just bought a new battery backup.

Seriously though send me your address and I will send them to you. If you can pay me for them one day in the next year or so then great and if not no biggie. It's better than them going to waste and I don't feel like fooling with eBay to sell them.

Just so you know the black set came from ILikeLSUToo and apparently they are two sticks from different batches so you have to use the whole set as 4x4GB or else trying to use the black set as 2x4GB it will not register one of the sticks and only shows as using 1x4GB.
He said you bought the other 2x4GB set from him so you might have the other stick from the correct batch if you still have that set which I know is very unlikely.

That's fine with me. I'm going to try to throw a set in my minecraft machine and use the other to hopefully start my actual PC build. I've been sitting in a psu, case, and SSD for 2 months and haven't made any progress. There's been no games that have made me want to build

Yeah, I just want my 6600K I feel like I've been waiting for years. I literally Google Intel Skylake and Z170 2-5 times per day for news and hoping for mobo releases.
