Not bad for a blatant rippoff. I sort of look forward to seeing more Overwatch clones come out over time sort of like how there's so maybe MOBAS to choose from these days.

I mean, Overwatch took some stuff from others too. Lucio is borderline copyright infringement on Lucian from LoL.
That's how these games work, they borrow a lot of ideas from each other because, at this point, a lot of the ideas have already been taken.

I hate how you can only play bot matches until you get 12 heroes to mastery level 4.

Paladins existed before Overwatch. If you like Paladins, try Smite. Same company, closer to a traditional MOBA, but I really enjoy it. It's more immersive than League or DOTA, but closer to a MOBA than Paladins or OW

It has been in development since 2005, so while it may not have originally been envisioned as an Overwatch clone, it's really hard to deny the straight up copy/paste with a lot of the heroes and game mechanics.
That's not entirely a bad thing as I said though. Paladins is different enough where you might have a small number of people who prefer it.

If you're going to play Paladins, try Smite. It is a true MOBA made by Hi-Rez and is a superior game to LoL. I tried LoL, I wanted to like LoL, and I have friends who are diamond players in LoL that always try and get me to play. However, I just cannot get into click-to-move and the isometric view. Why the frick in 2016 do I have to CLICK to fricking move. I don't get it.
I really like Smite. It's 3rd person, mouse movement, it's basically like playing WoW with 3 lanes and a jungle.
Downsides of Smite:
1) The ranked games have a problem with matchmaking sometimes. You will have the random silver player who gets into games with SPL (pro) players and completely ruins their game.
2) Brazilians. They are on the NA servers and are a PITA. Not only do they not speak English, but they are terrible at the game.
3) BM'ers. If you're new to ranked, expect the BM to flow. You will be called a shitter about a 1000 times during your qualifiers. Indeed, you don't even have to do anything -- you will get hounded just for being a qualifier ("frick, we got a qualifier, GG boys"). Smite is like OW in that voice chat is automatic, so you get to hear the BM in your headset.

I really think HotS is the best MOBA.
