I don't get it either. I would understand awarding less XP, but not 0.
It's kind of ridiculous for them to say it doesn't impact the game balance in any significant way. I'm sure it doesn't prevent someone from beating the main story, but it does detract from the fun of using more skills and higher-level gear.
CDPR forums are exploding with the typical over-the-top rage you see on any company-run forum for a new game. I even saw someone complain that Geralt on the main menu isn't wearing the player's chosen gear and hairstyle.

I guess it is kinda like a feedback loop...if you are too strong you get less XP meaning you level up slower, so you are slowing getting less and less OP eventually balancing the game.

Yeah that is just ridiculous. I think people give way to much credit to CDPR for past successes and when they see something they don't like they can't conceive how their beloved CDPR let it happen. Not that CDPR is a bad developer at all, just human like the rest of em.

This is the first CDPR game I intend to finish. I've seen gameplay of the original Witcher game, and it looks like a total chore to play.

The only real complaints I have are the world map locator and inability to store things. When I pull up the map, I want a button that will auto center on where my objective is, or at least point in the right direction.
There is also no reason I shouldn't be able to go back to Kaer Morhn (sp?) and be able to store stuff I want to keep. I've got some
Badass swords that I want to hold onto even if they aren't the strongest anymore. They just look awesome.

I loved it

click the left stick to jump to geralt, then click it again to jump to objective

On the PS4, clicking on the L3 (or R3, I can't remember) toggles between your current location and objection.

I've been searching the map until I find it.

I have just been following the white dotted line.

Not sure that I like this because if the quests are gray and you are overleveled, the XP would be rather insignificant...but why give absolutely zero incentive?
Only temporary. You will get XP again once the patch comes out. At this rate, the Pyres of Novigrad will be grey for me whenever I get the patch for it.
Unless of course I'm just an idiot and have misread everything lol.

I was having issues with carry weight where I couldn't even loot an entire bandit camp, swords and all, without becoming overburdened. Selling the swords and armor and saddles would put me down to 110/130.
I finally realized that a huge chunk of weight was being occupied by pelts. The several dozen pelts I had acquired added up to a good 30 or 35 pounds (or whatever the unit of measurement is). When you have things dismantled, most of the resulting components have a weight of 0.01. I just hadnt been paying attention to dismantling junk until i needed a certain crafting component.
Would be nice to be able to sort inventory by weight.

I just sell pelts. I've been able to have enough crafting items to no need them. I haven't run into much weight issues, but I will if I keep holding onto all these swords. Or they should at least do something where once you've crafted the sword once, you can just get it from any blacksmith free.

I think you should stick to the spoilers thread...this isn't that hard of a concept. I'll even link it for you.
I'm not the only one that has pointed this out.

So I'm not an a-hole?
Wouldn't have said anything if he at least made it known that it was a spoiler.

outsmarting the trolls has to be the best thing about this game. theyre so stupid
Posted on 6/3/15 at 4:33 pm to ILikeLSUToo
I'm still having trouble with weight. I have 100lbs that I just can't find a way to get rid of. A way to sort by weight would be majestic. I think my main problem ATM is all of this witcher gear I'm having to hump around with me as I upgrade it all. IF only we had some storage...

I've resorted to just sticking with one set of gear. Once I max out the griffin gear, I will replace it only when a better piece comes along.
Didn't know you could go beyond 130. I'm gonna do that now.
